The Dhanbad Municipal Corporation was formed according to the notification Establishment / Formation – 101/ 5334/ Urban Development Department, Ranchi. The notification was passed on the date 1^st February 2006. It was formed by combining urban settlements and two hundred fifty-eight villages.   The property tax is charged on the annual rental value of the property.  The property tax is charged twice a year. The taxpayer will also receive the rebate if made payment of property tax within 15 days from the date of deposit of the property tax return.
